For the first time, the traditional Battle of the Burgers at Rodeo Goat is raising money for a good cause. Through July 31, the restaurant’s Radio G.O.A.T. and Birria Burger are the stars of the burger competition. For every vote they get, $1 goes to KERA, the community-supported radio station in North Texas. As of July 24, 11,441 votes had been cast. The creation is the Radio G.O.A.T., made with a beef patty, double pepper jack cheese, roasted green chiles, prickly pear barbecue sauce, cactus fries, and micro cilantro. As of July 24, this burger had 7,148 votes. Its competitor is the Birria Burger, which features a beef patty with birria de res, a corn tortilla, queso Oaxaca, radish slaw, and cilantro-avocado spread. As of Wednesday, it had 4,293 votes.

🌟 Where to get fall flavored doughnuts: La Rue Doughnuts in Dallas🌟 Why we love it: ❤️ La Rue Doughnuts serves up amazing, hand crafted doughnuts at their shop in Trinity Groves! If you were a fan of the owners’ previous bakery, Carte Blanche, you will love their new spot. ❤️ They have classic flavors like vanilla brioche and apple fritters, and more innovative options like the bacon, almond, caramel, banana brioche. ❤️ You can indulge in two limited-time fall flavors this month: gluten free pumpkin powdered sugar (my personal favorite) and an adorable cookies & scream (white chocolate pastry cream filled brioche with cookie crumb & chocolate cookie ghost). ❤️ Their drip coffee is my favorite in Dallas, but they also have speciality coffees if that’s more your style! Right now they have a festive Monster Matcha. ❤️ While there isn’t indoor seating, there’s ample seating on the front patio. After, you can go for a walk on the nearby Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge!

Davis Street Mercantile is one of the cutest stores that offers the most amazing DIY workshops on the weekends - choose between pottery painting to candle making! Our experience was nothing short of amazing - we were immediately greeted with a sampling of house-made sangria upon arrival. For the next two hours, we got to customize our own personal candles from a selection of scents + bowls. NORI HANDROLL BAR 🍙 🍒 WHAT THEY’RE KNOWN FOR: hand rolls! They have classic Japanese appetizers too like Karaage and takoyaki. 🍒 THE VIBE: sultry and intimate. We went during the daytime though so it was a bit more empty but I can tell this is a vibe for a date night! 🍒 PRICE: ~$80 for two people 🍒 WOULD I COME BACK? Yes! •••• Overall Rating: 10/10 - We got king salmon, torched crab, dakutoro, & negitoro hand rolls. Absolutely phenomenal quality. I’m gonna say something controversial but I thought it was better than Hatsuyuki in Fort Worth but they are in two different cities so take it as you will! - The king salmon had the largest piece of salmon I was obsessed! The negitoro was out of this world. I will say the dakutoro was slightly fishy but I enjoyed the balance of the radish. - I liked this Handroll place had other ingredients inside of the Handroll to complement the fish. - The chefs and employees were extremely nice and attentive. I highly recommend coming here!

Miranda’s work investigates environmental intersectionality and the influence on the migration of people headed towards the U.S./ Mexico border from Mexico, Central America, and South America. The movement of people from marginalized communities are often affected by ecological disasters that stem from climate change. Severe weather events such as heat waves, flooding, and droughts are some of the catalysts for these migrations.

They have an adorable patio with string lights so it’s the perfect spot to grab some late-night bites! 🤩 Taqueria La Fogata has a small menu but the flavors are BIG! We loved the $2 tacos but you can also get quesadillas, tortas, papa a la fogata, and aquas frescas! 🙌

I absolutely loveddd this class! 💐 TRADE is an art studio in Dallas that hosts tons of creative classes lead by local artists! Pretty much every class is BYOB and they have tons of workshops to choose from! 🔥 We did the HAND BUILT MUG CLASS and it was 10/10. Our instructor Corrie was soo nice and made it super interactive and fun! ✨ The class costs $85 pp and you make your ceramic mug during the class, then come back to get it once it’s finished with paint and the ceramic glaze! 🎨 This is a great outing to do with a group of friends or as a date night! I highly recommend! 🙌🏾

Ari’s Pantry An Italian-focused grocery-and-provisions store that opened on West Davis Street this winter. The first time we met Ari Lowenstein, he told us, “I opened this place because I was tired of driving to Jimmy’s.” His little shop doesn’t sell sandwiches or wine, but it has everything else, from top-notch imported meat and cheese to homemade tomato sauce. There are great pastas, jams, and even cookbooks. This fall, a new commercial kitchen will allow Ari’s to bake breads and sell take-home meals such as lasagna. Signature Offering: You can find everything you need to make your own pizza here, from homemade tomato sauce to hot salami—plus expert staff advice on topping combos. DRAKE’S HOLLYWOOD || DALLAS 🍸 🍒 WHAT THEY’RE KNOWN FOR: the coldest martinis, steaks, and pastas! They have a such a unique menu to choose from. 🍒 THE VIBE: old Hollywood vibes. They do have a dress code they would like you to adhere to but I find that they’re not actually strict about it. 🍒 PRICE: ~$90 + $20 tip 🍒 WOULD I COME BACK? Yes! Second time here. •••• Overall Rating: 11/10 - This is probably my favorite special occasion restaurant of all time because every time I come here I’m just obsessed with the food and ambiance! The service is always a 10/10 too. - They have the best martinis- my personal favorite are the French 75 (tastes like a light sparkling lemon drop) and the espresso martini WITH reposado tequila (you gotta ask for the tequila!). - Omg…. YOU HAVE TO TRY THE OZZY PIZZA. It’s absolutely delicious. The steak on it was cooked perfectly and this is the perfect size for two people or to share amongst a larger group so you can enjoy the other dishes. - The salmon crispy rice was pretty average but honestly I love any sushi and I was craving it so it satisfied my craving! - Overall, DRAKE’S HOLLYWOOD you’ll see me again!!! A classic old Dallas staple.

WEEKEND COFFEE || DALLAS 🌞 🍒 WHAT THEY’RE KNOWN FOR: if you’re staying at The Joule hotel near the famous Dallas eyeball or visiting that area, Weekend Coffee is one of the closest and most convenient coffee shops in the area. Street parking! Go in the morning or early afternoon. 🍒 THE VIBE: clean, artsy, colorful. It was a great vibe. We just grabbed and go but it was hotel lobby vibes. 🍒 PRICE: ~$7 🍒 WOULD I COME BACK? Yes. Overall Rating: 10/10 - I’ve been wanting to stop by Weekend Coffee for the longest and it did not disappoint! - Their hot Spanish latte was impeccable! It was the perfect temperature and the perfect amount of sweetness. Coffee was robust and the condensed milk added a depth to the drink that was enjoyable. - The baristas were really helpful and nice. I’m not sure I would study here but definitely a good place to sit and chat over a cup of coffee. They do close at 3pm just FYI!

YAY wagamamaUSA! Their first location in Texas is in Dallas! I’ve had wagamama many times before since I lived near one when I was in NYC. It’s a popular ramen shop from the UK with pan-Asian and Asian comfort food. I stopped by for their new menu, which includes the Ahi Tuna Nachos, Korean Fried Chicken Bao, Miso Sweet Potato Bao, Karaage Chicken Bao, and Chili Hoisin Duck Bao. They also have sake-based cocktails with SOTO sake: Vietnamese Espresso Martini, Matcha Mule, and Passion Fruit Paloma. Tag a friend you’d like to go with! FYI - There’s free parking! They can validate parking for 2.5 hours in the building garage.
