One of my personal favs! ✨ Sassetta is a beautiful Italian Restaurant is one of my go-to date night spots! The interior is romantic, the service is great, and the food is always delicious! 🙌🏾 This spot opens at 11am, so it’s perfect for a lunch date or an evening in the city! The menu is full of Italian favorites and I’ve yet to try a dish I don’t like here! 🥂 I highly recommend the RIGATONI PASTA & the BOLOGNESE PASTA. Both are amazing! 🍝 I also recommend asking to sit along the windows. It’s a ground level view, and such a nice vibe while eating ☀️ This a great spot for a date night, girl’s night, or to grab a solo drink in the city! 🍸

We just checked out the Operators Club in the West End historic district’s Coca-Cola building, and the experience did not disappoint! This gem is the perfect spot to grab a bite or catch a game in the downtown area, as it pays homage to the American “Operators” and hard working people everywhere that get it done on the daily. We loved everything we sampled, but we will definitely be ordering the Pasta Zepp on our next visit! Food Deets: - Butcher & Farmer Board ($24) - Gochujang Duck Drumettes ($14) - Max & Cheese Burger ($19) - New Orleans Tasso ($22) Drink Deets: - Manhattan Project Draft - Irish Maid

Erin Cluley Gallery The last 10 years in the Dallas gallery scene has seen a lot of openings and closings, but Erin Cluley Gallery remains a constant. She has a solid line-up of artists, many of whom live and work in the region. She is regularly collaborating within the community and she creates smart, thoughtful programming in her space. Be sure to pick up any materials her team assembles about the exhibition, as this is a gallery dedicated to inviting visitors into the artistic inspiration and process.

🌟 Where to get fall flavored doughnuts: La Rue Doughnuts in Dallas🌟 Why we love it: ❤️ La Rue Doughnuts serves up amazing, hand crafted doughnuts at their shop in Trinity Groves! If you were a fan of the owners’ previous bakery, Carte Blanche, you will love their new spot. ❤️ They have classic flavors like vanilla brioche and apple fritters, and more innovative options like the bacon, almond, caramel, banana brioche. ❤️ You can indulge in two limited-time fall flavors this month: gluten free pumpkin powdered sugar (my personal favorite) and an adorable cookies & scream (white chocolate pastry cream filled brioche with cookie crumb & chocolate cookie ghost). ❤️ Their drip coffee is my favorite in Dallas, but they also have speciality coffees if that’s more your style! Right now they have a festive Monster Matcha. ❤️ While there isn’t indoor seating, there’s ample seating on the front patio. After, you can go for a walk on the nearby Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge!

Qué Calor August 10, 6 p.m.| This weekend, stroll through Eliana Miranda’s latest Oak Cliff Cultural Center exhibition. The exhibition centers on the intersectionality of migration and ecological events, specifically the Mexican border with the United States and heat-related severe weather. Miranda’s work investigates environmental intersectionality and the influence on the migration of people headed towards the U.S./ Mexico border from Mexico, Central America, and South America. The movement of people from marginalized communities are often affected by ecological disasters that stem from climate change. Severe weather events such as heat waves, flooding, and droughts are some of the catalysts for these migrations.

Is there anything more Texas than the State Fair? As a Dallas native, I’ve been going ever since I was a little girl🎡 There is something about the smell of corn dogs frying and Big Tex waving “Howdy, Folks!” that makes me feel at home💕 My first stop is always Fletcher’s to get the best corny dog on the planet. I know it’s controversial, but I’m team mustard AND ketchup💛❤️ Next I tried some 2022 food winners ~ if you’re a pickle lover, the pickle pizza is to die for! I loved every bite. If you have a sweet tooth, the fried rocky road + bluebell is 10/10 for me! I usually end with a Bacon-Wrapped Turkey Leg from Hans Mueller (IYKYK). My other all-time favorites include fried oreos, fried PB&J, Funnel Cakes, and a swig of Pepto Bismol🤪 Try some new foods, ride the Ferris Wheel, play games & win big at the Midway, and end your night with the beautiful Illumination Sensation performance🎆🎉

I absolutely loveddd this class! 💐 TRADE is an art studio in Dallas that hosts tons of creative classes lead by local artists! Pretty much every class is BYOB and they have tons of workshops to choose from! 🔥 We did the HAND BUILT MUG CLASS and it was 10/10. Our instructor Corrie was soo nice and made it super interactive and fun! ✨ The class costs $85 pp and you make your ceramic mug during the class, then come back to get it once it’s finished with paint and the ceramic glaze! 🎨 This is a great outing to do with a group of friends or as a date night! I highly recommend! 🙌🏾

I’m back for the second time at this hidden gem! It’s a fast-casual spot by day, but at night, the speakeasy part opens up. This speakeasy is totally unexpected, and once you’re inside, they give you a menu book with the history of the place, details to the artworks, and their meanings, along with a drink menu. They host “Ode to Nepal” live music nights on Wednesdays with local Nepali artists and will also be starting a Nepali Bazaar outside the restaurant every Sunday afternoon, promoting Nepali handmade products! So, tag a friend you’d like to go with! Taipo (Behind the Door)

🍕 SLIDERS, SHAKES & SLICES (including boozy shakes for 21+!) for the whole fam in Grand Prairie at SERIOUS EATS 🍕 Located in EpicCentral, Serious Eats is a yummy spot for a bite with the fam. 🍕 Order at kiosks and your name is called when your food is ready. 🍕 Choose from monster slices of pizza, sliders, fries, tots and onion rings. Be sure to save room for a gourmet shake! (You just need one- it’s enough for 2 or 3 people!) 🍕 Full bar available along with boozy shakes for anyone 21 and over (I loved the Vincent Vega shake- YUM!). 🍕 Indoor & outdoor seating available, but you may have to wait a bit during busy times for a seat inside (we did!). 🍕 This spot is located next to the new climbing gym at EpicCentral so kids can play before or after they eat. 🍕 Sit outside & you can watch the Illuvia water & light show while you dine! 🍕 Pro Tip: the pizza slices are big enough that you’ll be full with one but the sliders are small so you may want two! Have you tried Serious Eats yet?
