Is there anything more Texas than the State Fair? As a Dallas native, I’ve been going ever since I was a little girl🎡 There is something about the smell of corn dogs frying and Big Tex waving “Howdy, Folks!” that makes me feel at home💕 My first stop is always Fletcher’s to get the best corny dog on the planet. I know it’s controversial, but I’m team mustard AND ketchup💛❤️ Next I tried some 2022 food winners ~ if you’re a pickle lover, the pickle pizza is to die for! I loved every bite. If you have a sweet tooth, the fried rocky road + bluebell is 10/10 for me! I usually end with a Bacon-Wrapped Turkey Leg from Hans Mueller (IYKYK). My other all-time favorites include fried oreos, fried PB&J, Funnel Cakes, and a swig of Pepto Bismol🤪 Try some new foods, ride the Ferris Wheel, play games & win big at the Midway, and end your night with the beautiful Illumination Sensation performance🎆🎉

We couldn’t believe this gorgeous mall existed in DFW! 👉 The Harbor Rockwall is the perfect place to shop, eat, take photos, and watch the sunset! 🌅 You can also 🎶 get Harmony at the Harbor this October! The waterfront for three nights of unforgettable live music. Oct 17th: Texas Flood is taking over with their Texas blues rock. Oct 24th: Rockwall's Philharmonic Orchestra will close the series with a grand performance. Each show runs from 7-9 PM—bring your friends, grab a bite, and enjoy the magic of music by the lake!

With these cooler temps I knew I needed to grab a warm latte and experience autumn at the Arboretum🎃🍂 With over 100,000 pumpkins throughout the garden, there so many beautiful sights to see! I also had no idea the city of Floydada (about 5 hours west) is THE pumpkin capital of Texas! All the pumpkins at the Arboretum are from their farms🚜🌾 PSA: If you have a membership, the Arboretum is open every morning from 7am-9am for members only🙌🏼 I highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful fall escape🍁

JUBILEE CAFE 🐻 🍒 WHAT THEY’RE KNOWN FOR: their bear themed iced drinks! Also, a ton of dessert options. 🍒 THE VIBE: cute little cafe, not really for studying, it’s more for sitting down and enjoying a meal with a friend or two. 🍒 PRICE: ~$120 (lots of food!) (gifted 🤍) 🍒 WOULD I COME BACK? Yes! •••• Overall Rating: 9.5/10 - After seeing post about this super cute bear-themed cafe, I was so excited to come here! - Must try dishes are the calamari salad, wild mushroom risotto (best selling item), and the ingeolimi shaved ice! - The calamari salad had so much flavor and I loved the snap of the boiled calamari. The salad had a zesty dressing and the calamari was just seasoned very well. - The risotto had a strong truffle taste so if you like that it was so good and hearty to have in the rainy weather! - The shaved ice was actually my greatest surprise! It had mochi squares and red beans that were perfectly sweet with the shaved ice. - Of course you have to try their bear ice drinks! The coffee is on the stronger side with no sugar so just indicate if you want a flavored/sweet latte. I loved it though because the coffee flavor was great. The colorful drinks were so fun too! - A cute place with hearty and variety of food. Definitely check it out.

I feel like good service & quality food has been a little hard to find in Dallas these days! One of my favorite spots for lunch & brunch is definitely an exception🍝 James at Al Biernat's Oak Lawn took excellent care of us today and the food was amazing as always👏🏼 Most people think of Al Biernat’s as a fancy dinner spot, but you should definitely give it a try during the day! The prices are great and the food will have you coming back week after week☕️✨ Ordered: Bread Basket with Whipped Herb Butter, Brad’s Grilled Pear Salad, Tortilla Soup, Wild Boar Bolognese, Latte with House-Made Biscotti Want to Try Next: Escargots & Tortellini, Herb Roasted Chicken, Lump Crab Angel Hair Pasta

HOUNDSTOOTH COFFEE || DALLAS 🍒 WHAT THEY’RE KNOWN FOR: easy grab and go coffee place with another room attached to the other side for studying and WFH. Also, there’s a fairly large outdoor seating area with a great view I didn’t get to take a picture of bc ppl were sitting there. 🍒 THE VIBE: small and intimate, nature vibes 🍒 PRICE: $13 (kinda pricey I think bc location!) 🍒 WOULD I COME BACK? Yes. •••• Overall Rating: 8/10 - A solid place to grab a quick cup of joe! The cappuccino I had was at the perfect temperature and had the perfect amount of sweetness. I have no bad things to say about the coffee it was perfect sweetness and perfectly brewed. - Definitely would consider this Houndstooth a grab and go situation. There’s a great outdoor seating area to sit and chat in nice weather. There is a small space to work from home/study but it closes an hour before the actual closing time just FYI. - The only complaint I had was that was the worst cookie I’ve ever had 😂 I love mint chocolate anything but omg it was so hard and not chocolate-y at all. I tried to dip it in the coffee to soften it up but the flavor was just not giving. Also, I was annoyed because I didn’t realize it was a $4 cookie until I already paid?! Like how are yall gonna charge $4 for a wack cookie 😭

Welcome to the neighborhood, D.L. Mack’s🍸 This cozy Chicago-style tavern does not disappoint👏🏼 Everything was delicious, but the cracker crust honey truffle chicken pizza really did it for me. They also use Banana Hazelnut Infused Cold Brew in their Espresso Martinis and o.m.g. IT’S SO GOOD. Best Donuts in Dallas: Ferguson Donut Shop North Texas’s nouveau shops have gotten so distracted by cream-filled this and topped with that, they seem to have forgotten how to make a basic melt-in-your-mouth, glazed old-fashioned. We’re over the theatrics (and prices, my goodness) and suggest finding your local, satisfying ring-slinger whose signage simply reads “Donuts.” Ferguson is our fave.

Explore the Texas themed pumpkin village, hay maze, and pumpkin patch. 🧡 There are daily events in addition to the pumpkin village! Find a full list of events including concerts, cooking classes, kid activities, and more on their website. Good to know: - This event runs through 11/3 and hours are 9am-5pm daily. - Admission is $13-$22, children under 2 are free! There is an additional charge for parking. - Did you know you can bring your own food and drinks to the arboretum? It’s one of our favorite places for a family picnic!

✨🦋 Brand new, 6 acre, $40 million dollar butterfly themed art park called Kaleidoscope Park! The park will is completely free with public programming year round like farmers markets, concerts and films. There is also a massive children’s play area, a dog park, performance lawn and shaded promenades and plazas. The star of the show though is this 3,400 pound art pieces that changes colors all day and into the night, called ‘Butterfly Rest Stop’ created by Janet Echelman. It’s made up of 791,788 knots tied by hand. It’s very stunning during the day and incredibly romantic at night. ⏰ HOURS // Open daily from 6am - 11pm

It’s a classic Korean Pocha! 🍒 PRICE: ~$45 + tip 🍒 WOULD I COME BACK? Yes. Overall Rating: 8/10 - A Korean Pocha is a place that serves Korean street food and is optimal for casual social gatherings and sharing drinks. If you’ve been to one before, you already know the vibes are immaculate ✨ - I only really docked off points because they forgot our rice cakes in the stew so it kind of made it more plain and it was just something I could’ve made at home… it was good though! - The chicken wings were actually so delicious and crunchy. Highly recommend trying the flavors we got. - The dumplings were actually so good and I dipped them in the stew sauce and wow it was excellent. - Overall, a solid spot for good food, vibes, and tons of selection in drinks and food. Servers were very attentive too.
