Lumen: The Art and Science of Light This engaging new Getty Center exhibition examines how different authorities studied the science of light during the “Long Middle Ages” (800-1600 CE). Compare the perspectives of philosophers, theologians, and artists layered with their respective Christian, Muslim, and Jewish ideologies.
