Vietnamese lunch with the girls Đi Ăn Đi.
I’ve had this spot bookmarked for years (since before the Covid pandemic!) and I’m so happy I finally went, and with good company.

Food was so good and I love all the hanging plants! Totally inspired me to buy a plant for the apt over the weekend - true story.

Had an amazing brunch recently at Jazba NYC.
We’re no expert on Indian food, but we honestly loved everything we had there. We grew up eating Indian food in Malaysia, and lived in New Delhi for a bit before our move to NYC and this meal took us right back to India.

A vibrant new restaurant from the team behind Junoon, Jazba is bringing India’s colorful hawker food and culture to NYC! (Looking forward to trying their dinner menu soon)

Tip: definitely get the Basket Chaat!

Can’t go to Kingston, NY and not stop by Rough Draft.
And we did that, twice , one of their monthly special drink ‘the Beautiful and the Pandanned’ made with espresso, milk and pandan (fragrant leaves widely used in Southeast Asian cooking) was crazy, crazy good!

We had it twice, and tried it hot and iced and both were delicious. So if you happen to find yourself in Kingston this month, you gotta try this drink! We also always, always get the pies from there, and the Vietnamese beef one is our favorite.

One of my favorite Japanese cafes in Greenpoint, ACRE.
Came for lunch one afternoon weeks ago (when we were still wearing coats!) and had such a good meal in their unassuming cafe in the back of the store.

They serve coffee and housemade pastries out in the front and healthy yet hearty Japanese meals in the back. I love their bento boxes for lunch and it’s definitely one of my favorite Greenpoint hidden gems.

Really hoping @elizabethstreetgarden will be saved!
It’s such a beautiful green oasis in the middle of Nolita…
If you didn’t already know, they have an ongoing battle against the city and developers who want to turn this public community garden space into a rental and retail development.

The garden is the only real green space in Little Italy, hosting hundreds of free public programs such as live music, poetry, movie nights, public school educational workshops, yoga and tai chi. It is entirely run by volunteers.
