Memories from my first trip to Aruba! 🌺 I found myself falling in love with the island—beautiful white sand beaches and so many things to do. I think traveling and food go hand in hand, so I made it a point to check out all the local food spots. We loved going to Huchada, a local bakery, for the croquette pika (we went twice during our trip!). The fresh seafood at Zeerover was a 10/10—it’s a must if you’re in Aruba.

Easy and relaxing vacation from Dallas: Aruba is less than 5 hours away, with direct flights from Dallas 🏝️🌤️ Here are some things to keep in mind while you’re here: ✨Aruba has perfect weather year-round. It’s outside the hurricane belt and hasn’t been hit by a hurricane in over 100 years! ✨Aruba has beautiful beaches and one of their beaches - Eagle Beach is ranked #2 among the world’s best beaches for 2023. ✨The average Aruban speaks four languages (including English), making it easy to communicate with locals. ✨The tap water is 100% safe to drink and meets the highest standards of the World Health Organization.

I’m back for the second time at this hidden gem! It’s a fast-casual spot by day, but at night, the speakeasy part opens up. This speakeasy is totally unexpected, and once you’re inside, they give you a menu book with the history of the place, details to the artworks, and their meanings, along with a drink menu. They host “Ode to Nepal” live music nights on Wednesdays with local Nepali artists and will also be starting a Nepali Bazaar outside the restaurant every Sunday afternoon, promoting Nepali handmade products! So, tag a friend you’d like to go with! Taipo (Behind the Door)

This is a Dallas hidden gem 😍. It’s a super cute Alice in Wonderland inspired brunch spot with amazing food. I see why the lines out the door, like every plate we ordered was so good. Our favorites: avocado toast, salmon benedict, and their tacos. They have freshly squeezed juices and a full cocktail bar. The espresso martini and mango passion mimosa are a must! But honestly you can’t go wrong with any of their drinks. It’s definitely one of my favorite brunch spots especially when the service, food, and drinks all hit the marks.

YAY wagamamaUSA! Their first location in Texas is in Dallas! I’ve had wagamama many times before since I lived near one when I was in NYC. It’s a popular ramen shop from the UK with pan-Asian and Asian comfort food. I stopped by for their new menu, which includes the Ahi Tuna Nachos, Korean Fried Chicken Bao, Miso Sweet Potato Bao, Karaage Chicken Bao, and Chili Hoisin Duck Bao. They also have sake-based cocktails with SOTO sake: Vietnamese Espresso Martini, Matcha Mule, and Passion Fruit Paloma. Tag a friend you’d like to go with! FYI - There’s free parking! They can validate parking for 2.5 hours in the building garage.

Korean aunties just know how to make the best Korean food 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. I’ve had Mamas Kitchen on my list for a while and finally had the chance to stop by. Their side dishes are sooo good. No wonder they start selling it to go. If you’re looking for good food, a no fuss kind of place - this is it!
