What better way to do that than exploring the many fun and festive things going on in Miami this year? Spend a luminous night at NightGarden! One of the many spectacular light shows you’ll find around Miami this time of year is Fairchild’s NightGarden. This unmissable celebration of light takes over the 23-acre botanic gardens annually, transforming it into an enchanting wonderland filled with technicolor flowers, rainbow-colored pathways, motion sensing technology and outdoor holograms.

The Oldest House In Miami The Barnacle, a real historical jewel in the heart of Coconut Grove, is one of the oldest buildings in Miami-Dade County standing in its original location! Today, the Barnacle Historic State Park is a popular spot for both history enthusiasts and those looking for a beautiful view. It is open to the public, offering a unique experience to go back in time to the history of Coconut Grove and all of South Florida. Aside from guided tours, there are concerts, yoga classes, movie screenings, picnic dates and more events to choose from at the site. Or you can simply lay back on the lawn and enjoy the same view as Munroe did with his family back in the early 1900s. The Barnacle Society Inc., a nonprofit volunteer organization, works all year to set up fun programming and preserve the historic state park.

The Pool Hall, Overtown Founded in 1954, this billiards club has been restored to its former glory, paying homage to the community’s golden age of entertainment with a modern twist. To find it, all you have to do is enter Red Rooster and head up the staircase covered in pictures of the famous and everyday people of Overtown in the ’60s and ’70s. That’s when you’ll spot the speakeasy’s stylish vintage decor, a pool table and a swell cocktail menu offering vintage-inspired concoctions.

Our favorite dishes include the Hokkaido Scallop, the Wagyu Beef Carpaccio with the most delish charred leek aioli, Agnolotti with blue crab, and the Spicy Rigatoni. Leave room for a Wolf Whistle, their version of a tequila espresso martini paired with dessert.
