Wynwood is getting a disco-themed outdoor roller skating rink this fall The colorful pop-up includes skate rentals and the option to purchase cocktails and food. Starting Thursday, September 12, don your neon and head to Wynwood Skate, the only roller skating rink in Miami’s booming arts district. Nestled in the back of Wynwood Marketplace, the large outdoor rink is decked out in a colorful checkerboard pattern à la 1970s disco clubs. Adjacent to the Sip & Pickle pickleball courts, it’s encircled by street art-covered shipping containers and a handful of covered cabana lounges. Similar to Sip & Pickle, Wynwood Skate is open to all ages and skill levels. Since it’s located inside the Wynwood Marketplace, you’ll also find plenty of food and drink options, plus other on-site activities like ping pong, shopping from local vendors, DJs, big screen TVs for screening sports games and more.

This Bib Gourmand winning restaurant exceeded our expectations. The decor and overall vibe of the place feels like a vacation and the menu definitely caught our attention. But the flavors sealed the deal! You’ll find unique dishes you wouldn’t normally see at a pizza joint like papaya with anchovy, Japanese sweet potato with brown butter, and grilled onions with tahini. Then came their famous sourdough pizzas! The texture? PERFECT. They’re also known for their delicious all natural wines.

Smorgasburg is the largest weekly open-air food market in America, attracting thousands of people to Brooklyn, Manhattan, Jersey City, Los Angeles, and now Miami, each weekend, to eat from dozens of local vendors. It launched May 21, 2011, as a spinoff of Brooklyn Flea (founded in 2008), and has since launched dozens of small businesses and attracted millions of visitors. The New York Times dubbed Smorgasburg “The Woodstock of Eating.” Smorgasburg expanded in June 2016 with a Sunday market for 70 vendors in downtown Los Angeles that attracts 10,000 people weekly. In 2019 a Friday market at the Oculus at the World Trade Center opened, followed in May 2021 with a weekly Saturday market in Jersey City. Smorgasburg also operates annual pop-ups in Osaka, Japan, and Sao Paulo, Brazil. Smorgasburg Miami is open every Friday from 5:30-10:30pm at 1100 Lincoln Road and Saturday and Sunday from 12-8pm at 2600 NW 2nd Avenue with 60+ vendors from South Florida and beyond. Wynwood Graffiti Golf Cart Tour + Graffiti Painting Experience Have you ever felt the draw of graffiti? Are you inspired by the gorgeous street art murals in Wynwood? Then sign up for our Wynwood Graffiti Experience and see if you have a future in street art! We will not be defacing any property or do anything illegal. Classes include all materials—spray paint, gloves, apron, and mask. When you arrive at the Wynwood Graffiti Experience, we will be set up for your lesson in our parking lot in front of the Wynwood Art Walk store. We paint on large canvas stretched onto wooden panels. First, we start with the very basics: how to hold, angle and handle the spray can and manipulate the pressure and length of the spray to paint dots of different sizes, lines of different widths, and to write letters. Then we move on to some more complex skills, like creating a drop shadow, making backgrounds and patterns, or even doing a color gradient. Masks and gloves will be on hand for personal protection. Although we rarely have issues with ruining clothes, and guests will be given aprons, it is best to come in something comfortable that you won’t mind having a few paint dots on. After learning a variety of skills, you will have time to experiment on your own and compose an artwork of your design. Our facilitator will be there to give guidance and tips, and to answer questions while working alongside you.

The restaurant stays true to its New York roots, offering the same menu filled with classic Parisian bistro-style dishes and an incredible ambiance that won’t make you feel like you’re in Miami. You’re heading here for a chic lunch or dinner and sitting at their gorgeous outdoor patio decorated with ceiling fans, red patio umbrellas, and twinkly lights. We’d start with some drinks (of course), if you’re a spritz person looking to relax, start your meal with their St. Tropez Spritz made with St. Germain, lemon, aperitif, sparkling wine, and strawberries. But if you’ve had a long day (or week) then kick off your meal with a tiny Le Petit Pickle martini. As for the food, we like to start with a few hors d’oeuvres for the table. We usually go for the Tuna Carpaccio with lemon vinaigrette, Escargots with garlic-parsley butter, Onion Soup, and Crispy Artichokes with garlic aioli. Moving on to the entrées we love their Chicken Paillard with almonds and picholine olives, and we always love to get an order of the Moules Frites with white wine and garlic for the table (don’t forget to dip the bread in the sauce). If you still have a little room, the grand finale is the airy Profiteroles, delicately filled with velvety smooth vanilla ice cream, and generously drizzled with warm chocolate sauce.
