Dallas Hidden Gems
Did you know there is a whiskey distillery in Fort Worth that sits on top of an old golf course that Sandra Palmer, Ben Hogan, and Byron Nelson used to play on? Glen Garden Country Club first opened in 1912 and was purchased by Firestone & Robertson Distilling Co. in 2014. The founders loved golf so much that they decided to preserve the course and built their 112 acre Whiskey Ranch to enjoy alongside of it. Now you can enjoy a thirst-quenching cocktail overlooking the downtown cityscape of Fort Worth or the greens of the historic golf course! We visited on a Saturday and purchased tickets ahead of time (highly recommended) - they were $10/ticket and included admission and one cocktail! For those who want a little more history, there is also a tour option ($27) that lasts ~50min. These were sold out when we went but we’ll definitely be back to get a closer look at the distillation process and learn more about TX Whiskey’s custom caps! 🥃
