We just checked out the Operators Club in the West End historic district’s Coca-Cola building, and the experience did not disappoint! This gem is the perfect spot to grab a bite or catch a game in the downtown area, as it pays homage to the American “Operators” and hard working people everywhere that get it done on the daily. We loved everything we sampled, but we will definitely be ordering the Pasta Zepp on our next visit! Food Deets: - Butcher & Farmer Board ($24) - Gochujang Duck Drumettes ($14) - Max & Cheese Burger ($19) - New Orleans Tasso ($22) Drink Deets: - Manhattan Project Draft - Irish Maid

All my Japanese food lovers out there probably already know about the original location of Mr Max (located in Irving), but did you know they recently opened up a second location?! Mr Max’s first location is an award winning restaurant, that was listed on Yelp’s ‘Top 100 Places to eat in the US’. They’ve had so much success that they’ve opened their most recent location in Richardson to help supplement the the waits that you’ll experience upon arrival. With that being said, don’t be surprised if you have to wait for a table, as it is a Mr Max tradition! Food Deets: - 5 Piece Sashimi ($38) - Kobe Beef Skewers ($9.50) - Karaage with Tatar Sauce ($8.50) - Grilled Shishito Peppers ($7.00) - Tonkotsu Ramen ($11.95) - Chashu Pork Rice Sandwich ($5.75) Drinks: - Fresh Grapefruit Chuhai ($8.50) - Kirin Large ($7.50)

Looking for the perfect way to escape the heat in Dallas this summer? Davis Street Mercantile is one of the cutest stores that offers the most amazing DIY workshops on the weekends - choose between pottery painting to candle making! Our experience was nothing short of amazing - we were immediately greeted with a sampling of house-made sangria upon arrival. For the next two hours, we got to customize our own personal candles from a selection of scents + bowls. The shop’s owner (Kirsten) and her staff were the most friendly and entertaining crew, making this the perfect summer activity! Workshop Deets: - Pottery Painting - Candle Workshop

Did you know there is a whiskey distillery in Fort Worth that sits on top of an old golf course that Sandra Palmer, Ben Hogan, and Byron Nelson used to play on? Glen Garden Country Club first opened in 1912 and was purchased by Firestone & Robertson Distilling Co. in 2014. The founders loved golf so much that they decided to preserve the course and built their 112 acre Whiskey Ranch to enjoy alongside of it. Now you can enjoy a thirst-quenching cocktail overlooking the downtown cityscape of Fort Worth or the greens of the historic golf course! We visited on a Saturday and purchased tickets ahead of time (highly recommended) - they were $10/ticket and included admission and one cocktail! For those who want a little more history, there is also a tour option ($27) that lasts ~50min. These were sold out when we went but we’ll definitely be back to get a closer look at the distillation process and learn more about TX Whiskey’s custom caps! 🥃
