It's really hard to make a point about architecture over emergence, specifically within in a localized context governed by a global regime which prioritizes emergence over architecture. What people are failing to realize when they defend this narrative is that they are giving sole authority to narrative to dictate reality. The difference is that narrative is controlled and used to control and in almost every case to pretend, and structure by definition resists all three. Where one conditions agency to a false incentivised centralized authority, the the other conditions agency to a neutral legitimate decentralized one, which all remain equally accountable too. In effect, appeals to image over substance demonstrates that there is no substance worth appealing, as appearance without substance is just fanciful drift.
