I've just joined this app and thought I would say hi! 👋 Who here has travelled to the magical, ever evolving country of Iceland? If so, has anyone ever been to the Black Sand Beach (Reynisfjara Beach) in Iceland? Reynisfjara is a popular black sand beach in southern Iceland near the town of Vík. An amazing experience if you ever have had the chance to visit. There is even a traffic light system which warns locals and travellers on how strong the swell is out there and is rarely less than an amber light. Sneaker waves are always something to look out for and normally arrive (sneak up on you) after almost every dozen waves. Recently there has been some erosion with most of the beach being washed away due to weeks of strong easterly winds, but would still be a great stop if you are ever in that area. Maybe a place to add to your bucket list?
